Dating Long Distance
Dating long distance is not an easy task. When you finally meet someone you want to get to know and possibly spend the rest of your life with, you find yourself relocating for business. That's where Americas top matchmaker Janis Spindel comes in.
When you find yourself in this situation, no matter now long you have been dating, Janis advises that you create a set of ground rules. The ground rules can be as simple as "if we find ourselves in a situation where we met someone, it's important and healthy to explore that new relationship." Exploring that relationship can be anywhere from setting up new dating rules with that person. You must communicate that you are in a serious relationship back home and you are now dating casually. You both must communicate and explore what dating means to you both.
Are you dating for company, to enjoy a common activity together such as going to the gym, shows, movies or dinner. Without a clear communication, your relationship back home can slow down and now you find yourself "single and ready to mingle." That's okay. We can't control what will happen, however what does happen must be shared with your partner back home.
A conversation can go from you miss him/her and can't wait to see each other and will make plans to fly out and spend time together and see if anything changed. It can also go to a more extreme conversation such as you met a guy/gal and think its time to move on and break up. That's okay. The main point is be honest, be real and communicate. The worst thing you can do is 2 time your man/woman back home. That in our opinion is not ethical, moral and if the shoe was on the other foot, we would not want it to be done to us.
In conclusion, life takes us through many Journeys and we have to do to others what we want done to us. If you need dating advise, we have a new division so please contact us. Good luck. Keep in mind that the Spindel's have 13 short of 4,000 marriages.
